Attractive ingredients for a mineral discovery in Newfoundland

Highlights

District-scale exploration in underexplored Avalonian terrane on the Burin Peninsula.

Best channel intercept of 20 m at 9.34 g/t Au, including 7 m at 19.74 g/t Au and 3.68 % Cu at Hickey’s Pond. A 75 m diamond drill hole completed in February 2020 returned 52 m of 0.68 g/t Au mineralisation from 16.00 m downhole, with best sub-intervals of 10.19 m at 1.63 g/t Au and 4.64 m of 1.5 g/t Au

IP-geophysical anomaly over the Hickey’s Pond area shows a significant chargeability anomaly over a strike of at least 2 km and open in all directions.

Six diamond drill holes totalling 951 m were completed in October 2020 across 750 m of strike length on the Hickey’s Pond showing and IP anomaly. All holes intersected alteration and mineralisation typical of high-sulphidation epithermal systems. Assays are pending and will be released when they have all been received.
